Onik Sahakian Necklace
Onik Sahakian necklace 1969.
Onik Sahakian was a Russian Armenian who grew up in Iran, in 1956 he came to America and with his love of art and dance performed in over 100 ballet performances, in 1958 he was lucky enough to meet Salvador Dali and a long friendship began.
Onik designed jewelry for Dali and in 1968 he opened Onik Design in New York.
This necklace is a wonderful pendant measuring 3 inches x 3 1/4 inches and a snake necklace measuring 8 inches either side, the pendant is signed Onik on the back.
